AKG C 3000
Features at a glance:
The AKG C 3000 B has most of its fans in the project studio and home recording field. It features a specially designed 28 mm (1.1”) diaphragm which has the same transient response as a high-end studio microphone, however, costs much less. Due to its surface, the large-diaphragm capsule of the C 3000 B produces a nice and smooth sound. Compared to the C 3000, the switchable –10 dB preattenuation pad has its effect at the capsule itself, consequently the maximum SPL is increased by a real 10 dB as well. So there is virtually no problem with loud signals. Due to its cardioid pickup pattern, which is acoustically well optimised, the C 3000 B is ideally suited for live sound applications as well as studio applications, free from feedback.
