The Audix Fireball is a unique handheld microphone. It has been specially designed to meet the needs associated with close-up vocal applications such as Hip-Hop, Beat Box as well as diatonic and chromatic harmonicas. Featuring a cardioid pickup pattern and uniform frequency response of 50 Hz - 16 kHz, it qualifies for both for live sound and for studio applications.

Its unique design ensures an amazingly clear and accturate sound reproduction and convenient handling. It even maintains its high quality sound reproduction when the artist is cupping the microphone. The Fireball´s housing is made of CNC-machined aircraft grade aluminium and the Audix VLM capsule technology ensures very clean and accurate sound reproduction. It features high feedback resistance and the capability of handling sound pressure levels in excess of 140 dB without distortion.

In addition to miking harmonicas, the Fireball may also be employed as a microphone for vocal, saxophone, flute and brass instrument pickup.
