Audix i5
Features at a glance:
The Audix I5 is a dynamic instrument microphone that is equally suitable for live sound and studio applications. It has been designed for miking loud instruments such as snare drums, electric guitars etc. and due to its roadworthy construction it is ideally suited for live sound gigs. The I-5 has been developed upon demands of users and dealers who were asking for a multi-purpose, high-quality microphone at an affordable price. During the course of the last years, Audix have successfully developed a wide range of application-specific microphones such as for drum and percussion instrument miking. Audix are the US market leader for high-quality microphones suitable for both live sound and studio applications. Even though the I-5 is being produced in high quantities for a broad audience, Audix always stick to the high quality requirements set for their products and also set high standards for quality control which are Audix hallmarks.
The I-5 is characterised with a cardioid pickup pattern allowing sound reproduction without crosstalk between the microphone and other instruments or noise on stage. Delivering a uniform frequency response of 50 Hz - 16 kHz and a capability to handle sound pressure levels of up to 140 dB, the I-5 qualifies for a wide range of applications and musical genres. Each model features the current Audix instrument microphone technology and a durable cast zinc-alloy body, a dent-resistant grille and black e-coat finish. Additionally, each model is attractively laser-etched with its model and serial number.
