AW-Reeds
AW-Reeds
The company AW-Reeds was founded by Martin SPANGENBERG, Hermann UHL and Alexander WILLSCHER in the year 2000. Alexander WILLSCHER had the fundamental idea for the concept in the 90s. The starting point was the idea to reproduce clarinet reeds independent from strickles and at the same time be able to change their form.
Dipl.-Ing. Hermann UHL, a professional in engineering and electronics was won over for the technical conversion of AW-Reeds. Finally, Martin SPANGENBERG, a solo clarinetist of the Münchener Philharmoniker and professor for clarinets in Weimar, joined the company. These specialists, everyone in their own field, made up the ideal combination of technical and practical know-how, and orchestral and pedagogical experience.
Due to the tight personal contacts between the company founders and well-known professional musicians, a number of signifiers were gained.
