This condenser microphone (back electret) is ideal for drum miking, particularly for toms and snare drums. The microphone clip featuring an integrated preamp lets you easily clamp the microphone to your drum kit. Being mounted to a gooseneck, the microphone capsule allows optimum positioning on the instrument. The Opus 88 provides a 3-pin XLR connector built right into the microphone clamp. The microphone mount with an integrated clamp for standard 3/8” adapters is also available separately (model MKV 87).
