The new SUB 15 sets a new standard in ultra compact active subwoofers. The “friendly smile” in its front design will automatically find its way to the audiences´ face, after listening to just a few beats. The heart of the SUB15 is the new high power 15"-woofer with 3" coil, designed and manufactured by dBTechnologies, made to give peak performance to this bandpass enclosure. Massive power is guaranteed by the new, processor controlled Class H amplifier with 800-Watts RMS power, equipped with professional features such as DC- and Overheat-Protection, plus a full wave Peak Limiter.

The combination of a custom made speaker and MT amplifier, drives this very compact bandpass subwoofer to the limit, to a maximum sound pressure of 133dB at a weight of only 32 kg.

MT-ClassH-amplifier

The integrated classH amplifier combined with a custom made speaker and MT amplifier, drives this very compact bandpass subwoofer to the limit/maximum sound pressure of 133dB. The integrated active crossover, used in mono or stereo mode, gives max. flexibility - the SUB 15 can be used both as a single subwoofer supplying low-cut signals to 2 satellite speakers, or in mono mode with one subwoofer per side. The crossover frequency is switchable from 80/100 to 120 Hz and provides a very narrow rollover of 24dB / octave. The phase can be turned by 180° if the position of the SUB15 is not in line with the satellite speakers.

Components

The SUB15 is fitted with a special 15" woofer made by dB technologies. Very stable und light membrane material was used, combine this with the superb voice coil and big magnet and you get a very professional reliable, subwoofer. The speaker chassis is made of forged aluminium, a great protection to eliminate torsion. The double chamber bandpass enables a graet maximum sound Pressure and a good punch, even in this very small enclosure.

Inside the speaker

As in any dBTechnologies subwoofer, the amplifier module is placed in a separate compartment inside the enclosure of the SUB15, to avoid “air noises” from the woofer through the cooling slots of the integrated, 4-speed fan, covered by a removable dust cover. Four control LED´s mirror the status of the system, to ensure easy set-up and safe operation.

The SUB15 can be used in combination with OPERA and Stage Opera Hi/MID speakers, or as a high performance low extension for existing systems.
