Gibson Dwight Yoakam Guitar Y2K
The Dwight Yoakam Y2K Model. The "Y" and "K" stand for "Yoakam" and the "2" represents this guitar´s relationship with Gibson´s legendary "King of the Flat Tops," the J-200.
This unique guitar was created especially for Dwight, and is a very cool combination of a Gibson J-180, with its smaller body and classic double pickguards, and the J-200, with its Moustachetm bridge, crown inlays, and figured maple back and sides.
The Dwight Yoakam Y2K Model is master built by the luthiers at Gibson Montana with a hand-select Sitka spruce top, flamed maple back and sides, rosewood fretboard with Mother-Of-Pearl crown inlays, rosewood Moustachetm bridge, gold Keystone tuners, and Gibson´s classic double pickguards.
The Y2K´s carved and scalloped bracing and rock solid dovetail neck joint assures this axe to be a powerful sound machine, fully capable of driving rhythm needed for Dwight´s searing songs.
Like the year 2000, the Dwight Yoakam Y2K Model comes around once in a lifetime. Each Y2K guitar is a numbered, limited edition of 100, and each will bear a label by Dwight Yoakam himself. This is a limited offer.
