Gibson Les Paul Custom EB GH
Features at a glance:
Custom Shop Nashville
Instruments of the „Historic Collection“ are handcrafted in the Gibson Custom Shop and are replicas of the legendary Gibson instruments; such as the 1959 Les Paul or the Jazz Standard L-5. In addition to reissueing historic milestones, the Gibson Custom Shop also develops new instruments and signature instruments, for example the Johnny A. Signature and the Les Paul Class 5 being crafted in small series.
Les Paul Custom
The highly detailed replicas of the Black Beauties from 1957 are an excellent documentation of the love put into every nut, bolt and screw of each instrument by the Custom Shop cleverly capturing each instrument’s personal note. There is a model for each developmental stage in the history of the Black Beauty available today. The first Les Paul Custom was built in 1954 and featured a solid mahagony body and the so-called Alnico Pickup (neck position). In 1957 the singlecoils were replaced with P.A.F.s and a third Humbucker was added in the centre position. Only very few Custom guitars featured two Humbuckers and that’s why they’re so sought-after these days. The 3-pickup model is also available with a Bigsby Tremolo. Now the Custom Shop even reissues the 1968 Les Paul model with a maple top. Custom Shop even reissues the 1968 Les Paul model with a maple top.
