The PG 57 is characterised with a frequency response that is specifically tailored for instrument miking. Its cardioid pickup pattern is characterised by a strong sensitivity to sound signals from in front of the mic which provides high feedback resistance even when the microphone is exposed to extremely high volume levels. Its dynamic capsule with a simple, rugged coil handles extremely high volume levels without distortion. In addition it features a capsule with neodymium magnets for a high output level. The internal shock mount reduces handling noise and its durable metal construction qualifies for every-day use even when touring. Also, it provides a Hardened steel mesh tapered grille that resists wear and abuse. The microphone is supplied with a 4.5 m cable, a break-proof microphone mount and a protective pouch.
