Washburn Scott Ian-Serie SI60-MW LIMITED
The limited edition of Scott Ian´s Guitar! This guitar has really earned its name "Murder Weapon". It doesn´t only look like someone has died playing it (concerning the CSI the trace is clear), but it also has a sound to die for.
Exclusively available at MP!
Scott Ian is the unbeaten king of the wildest guitar-riffs in the metal field. At the same time he is one of the hardest working musicians in business, what made it so important to build Scott´s guitar exactly to his specifications. The Seymour Duncan "El-Diabolo" fret-pick-up - the standard US model - is one of the hottest pickups on the market. Its perfect for everyone who is looking for a big bad metal sound. The V-neck also offers perfect comfort when playing fast riffs.
Chicago Original Since 1883
After the Great Fire in 1871 it didn´t take long for Chicago to become the national centre of music instrument building. Driven by the tradition to manufacture high-quality instruments, the Washburn-story begann in Chicago in 1883. The first original factory was established only a few blocks away from the famous Maxwell Street.
At the beginning of the 20s Maxwell Street developed into the epicentre of the musical movement. This street was - you could say - the entrance to Chicago for tousands of Afro-Americans who had moved up from the Mississippi-Delta into town. It became the hotbed of the Delta-Blues in its original and dramatical form.
Newcomers as well as professional musicians played concerts together and had jam-sessions in absolutely uncommercial surroundings. Shortly after the first recordings this emotional, expressive music became the determinating form of blues and also strongly influenced the development of rock ´n roll.
Back in Maxwell Street, in the side streets, on the sidewalks, in bars and pubs throughout the country, everyone identified the spirit of music with Washburn guitars. This spirit is still the drive and lead for Washburn guitars today.
The story of Washburn is also the story of a large number of musicians. Starting with blues-guitarists who influenced rock ´n roll, to multiple platinum winners and new, up-coming guitar-heroes. You can hear their stories every time you turn on the radio or go to a live-concert. Stories which are lived by versed instrument builders and musicians of the day. Both have something in commen: The passion for guitars!
