ArturiaArturia is a software company founded in 1999 and located in Grenoble, France. The company is known for their development of electronic music software, mainly the emulation of vintage analog synthesizers, and more recently hardware synths. At the 2012 Winter NAMM, Arturia presented the MiniBrute, a monophonic analog synthesizer which offers the features of different well-known synthesizers and adds new ones such as the Brute Factor or the Ultra Saw. The MiniBrute was designed to deliver high quality sound with all commands accessible from the front panel so the interface becomes quickly familiar to the player.
Early analog synthesizers such as the Minimoog and Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 had analog components and suffered from instability while subjected to the rigors of touring. Arturia's employed the increased processing power of modern computers to emulate these classic synthesizers with a high degree of accuracy. Arturia's True Analog Emulation, which allows for the accurate modelling of the behavior of analog synth circuits on a personal computer, has been employed to successfully recreate the sounds produced by many analog synthesizers. Arturia's soft synths are usable both as either a stand-alone program or as DXi, VSTi, Audio Units and RTAS plug-ins which can be loaded in various music studio software. Arturia's soft synths are used by many musicians on a large number of movie soundtracks and recordings.
