Gibson Gallery's Choice R8 '' 9 2227'' Heavy Aged · Electric Guitar

In 2006 the Irish guitarist Gary Moore parted ways with his Greeny, his legendary 1959 Gibson Les Paul, which he had bought at the time from the Fleetwood Mac guitarist Peter Green. Greeny is one of the most iconic guitars in the world and about it and its sale has already been adequately reported and speculated.

Gary Moore still had a second 1959 Les Paul. This guitar is by far not as legendary as Greeny, but he kept it because it was his favorite guitar. Les Paul collector and expert Tom Wittrock once gave the guitar the name STRIPE because of its striking top grain.

STRIPE is the "Still Got The Blues" guitar and Gary Moore has used it on almost every album until his death.

We at Musik Produktiv have now found that it is time to honour this guitar as well, and we have had Gibson build an appropriate instrument under the "Made 2 Measure" program.

This is not an Official Signature or Collector's Choice model, this guitar is only modeled on the original Stripe.

Gibson Custom Shop
The Gibson Custom Shop was founded in 1993 with only five employees. Initially the purpose was to take care of individual orders, the endorser and special models.
The Custom Shop's first spectacular action was the revision of the '59 and '60 Les Paul Flametop Reissues. A lot of changes were to be made, to make the reissue as authentic and close to the old originals as possible.
Today around 80 experts are working at the Custom Shop, who cover all areas ranging from "one-off" instruments to limited runs and R&D.
