Toontrack Traditional Country EZX · Softsynth
The Toontrack Traditional Country EZX offers a truly fantastic selection of drums recorded at the legendary Quonset Hut studio, the very first recording studio in the now world-famous "Music Row" district in Nashville, Tennessee. Originally, this facility opened its doors for the music world in 1955, before the studio was sold to Columbia, and until it was closed in 1982 when the Columbia Studio B grew into a world fame. Today it is used by the Belmont University as a teaching room for the courses of audio recording. The grand musical legacy will remain forever, however, countless of the then ascending artists such as Brenda Lee, Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash have recorded their timeless classics in "The Hat". With the help and personal advice of former session musicians, engineers, staff, handwritten drawings and notes from the past era, the producer Glenn Rosenstein and the master engineer Jeff Balding were able to revive the sound of an authentic recording session of the early 1950s in detail. Two sets of the late 1950s and early 1960s (Rogers and Ludwig) as well as a truly unique and rare Apollo MIJ kit were used as drums. The instruments were mostly recorded with original recording equipment, the sound of which is given by the infinitely saturated sound of the studio itself - a sonic characteristic that more than anything else defines the incomparable and typical Nashville Country Music Sound.
