The pedal, built in many versions, was originally based on an advanced transistor circuit, which was used for the first 4 muff versions with slight modifications. In Version 5, the transistors were replaced by 2 OP Amps - these variants sound darker and more centered than the other versions. With the Tone Bypass switch, the Tone Pot can be removed from the signal path, which causes a volume boost. Muff specialist Wren and Cuff has an authentic IC Muff version with the Eye See Pi. The historically correct circuit is housed in a pedalboard-friendly standard housing - as a concession to today's effect pedal, the Eye See Pi has True Bypass, a standard 9 volt barrel connector and an LED display.
