The Yamaha CPX1000 cutway 6-string electro-acoustic guitar features a solid Spruce top with Flamed Maple back and sides. Other features of the Yamaha CPX1000 electro-acoustic guitar include translucent black headstock finish, diamond inlays made of solid wood, rosewood bridge, 22 frets, scale length 650 mm, nut width 43 mm, and Yamaha Die-Cast gold machine heads.
The SRT System 63 preamp fitted to the Yamaha CPX1000 electro-acoustic guitar provides three different high-end mic types as well as mic positioning and lets you obtain more detailed sound by blending the mic sound with the piezo pickup sound and adjusting the body resonance. The microphone models are created using data collected from the Neuman U67 vintage large diaphragm condenser microphone, the Neuman KM56 vintage small diaphragm condenser microphone, and the Royer R-122 ribbon microphone.

Ok lets start with the China vs US build issue. Built in China and has impecable finish, no rough spots at all. Can't think that for these woods used that will get any better than this.
Good acoustically, better than the APX series which sound thin, because they are thinner bodied.
Plugged in has nice range of sounds available with on board SRT electrics.
Had mine few monthsand as settles sounding better all the time.
Only flaw is no hard case and needed action sorting as far too high out of factory, but for £25 at guitar shop why are you going to want to pay £2000more for same woods and named Taylor or Martin if you not a pro?
