The medium jumbo bodied Yamaha CPX500II single-cutaway 6-string electro-acoustic guitar features a spruce top, nato back and sides. Other features of the CPX500II electro-acoustic guitar include piezo pickup with a Yamaha System 65 preamp, ivory binding, 25-inch scale length nato neck with rosewood fingerboard.

Other features of the Yamaha CPX500II electro-acoustic guitar include a newly developed System 65 with an under-saddle piezo pickup developed by Yamaha. Controls include a 3-band equalizer, an adjustable mid-range frequency control, and a precision chromatic tuner for optimum sound tailoring.

Yamaha's System 65 pickup system featured on the Yamaha CPX500II electro-acoustic classical guitar offers the most natural, dynamic and expressive electro-acoustic sound. Multi-layer contact sensors combine wide dynamic range with feedback rejection for accurate and natural performance sound.

With a medium-jumbo body the Yamaha CPX500II electro-acoustic guitar provides powerful, rich bass combined with smooth, delicate highs and sweet mid-range for an open, modern voice. Non-scalloped X-type bracing ensures a powerful controlled tone that allows the CPX500II guitar to deliver strong, rich acoustic sounds while still remaining clear and usable on-stage. The Yamaha CPX500II electro-acoustic's conventional round soundhole focuses the midrange, while controlling bass, for a direct, powerful sound.
